Technical, Survey & Consumer Reports
Reports of the RERC-AMI are a natural consequence of RERC activities. These reports are in addition to our List of Publications, and complements our training activities. The following series of reports are available:
- RERC-AMI Technical Report Series
- Student Technical Reports, which are product surveys for targeted classes of medical products (associated with the Accessibility and Usability Medical Instrumentatation Lab of Marquette University)
- Accessible Healthcare Series developed by the Center for Disability Issues in the Health Professions at Western University, intended primarily for consumers
- Literature Resources and Technical Reports hosted by the R2D2 Center of UW-Milwaukee

RERC-AMI Technical Report Series
These reports represent major technical accomplishments of the RERC-AMI that need to be formally disseminated, and require greater detail than is possible in conventional publications. These are internally reviewed.

Student Technical Reports on Classes of Medical Products
In anticipation of possible areas of focus for the R2/Usability Analyses and the D2.2/Student Design Competition, starting in the Summers of 2003-2004 a number of students at Marquette University conducted product searches as their secondary RERC project. During the Summers of 2005 and 2006 there have been several new reports, plus updates of existing reports. While intended primarily for internal use, they are provided here in the form of technical reports. Each uses a subset of a "master list" of 120 possible columns that relate to basic information, device features, and preliminary accessibility assessment. The typical table consists of 30-60 columns and about 40-80 rows of products. An interactive format has been created (see description) for selectively viewing this information, courtesy of Marquette student and web programming and accessibility consultant Randy Will. **Before viewing this information, a disclaimer: information in this table is provided "as is" to the community. Although we have put forth our best efforts to provide valuable information, no claims are made for the accuracy of this table as a resource.
The following are now at a stage where they can be disseminated (others will become available soon):
- TR-AMI-MU-001: Examination Tables (Promersberger, Lemke, Johnson)
- TR-AMI-MU-002: Medical Monitoring Devices for the Home (Schaning, Mundschau, Yatco, Omiatek, Keane).
- TR-AMI-MU-003: Cardiopulmonary Exercise Equipment (Mielcarek, Omiatek).
- TR-AMI-MU-004: Infusion Pumps (Keane, Conrad).
- TR-AMI-MU-005: Weight Scales (Omiatek, French, Lemke, Yatco).
- TR-AMI-MU-006: Medical Imaging (Baran, Lemke)
- TR-AMI-MU-007: Access to Teleconferencing Technologies (Foil, Will)
- TR-AMI-MU-008: Medical Beds (Zanoni)
It is planned that these reports will be reviewed and updated each summer by new students working with the RERC-AMI.
